Whiting Ranch was on the menu today, though it was a little different from the ride we did last time. This time, instead of turning left down Cactus Hill Trail (?) we went straight, which took us down a fast fireroad and into the rollercoaster trails that dump you out to Portola. Going this way had us miss all the dangerous and very fun singletrack that we experienced last time. It was ok though, a quick 50 minute ride. It was just nice to be back on the bike after 8 days of rest. This weekend is the Oakley sale. Hopefully Fabian will be getting me tickets and I'll be able to pick up a new pair of shoes, some riding glasses and a pair of those new Assault Boots. I'm doubtful about the boots, though, because they are brand new... they may not have them, or if they do it may be in a very small quantity, and I may not have a chance at a pair. Oh well, it'll be nice no matter what I get. Oakley gear is awesome.
I took the Bessa-L with 15mm Heliar riding today. It's smaller and lighter than the G3, but I guess that doesn't matter. I took a few shots with it, I think they will be fun to see. I have only shot maybe 2 rolls with that lens, it's time to put it to work. I know I won't be developing much black and white any time soon, so I bought a few rolls of Superia Xtra 800 just to burn though. I'll figure out what I want to shoot in it soon. Too bad I sold the Canon FS4000 US, but I needed the dough. Lan's Epson 2450 should do the job for web display.
